The “Dingyuan” Memorial Warship

The “Dingyuan” Memorial Warship is located on the west of the Liugong Island Passenger Transportation Center in Weihai. The theme scene is a reproduction of the warship of Northern Navy in the late Qing Dynasty. The original “Dingyuan” Warship was the product of industrial civilization in the 19th century and was hailed as the largest ship in Asia. It witnessed a piece of glorious history of Chinese maritime undertakings. What’s more, the warship has been regarded as the totem of sea by the Chinese people, for its indomitable performance during the Sino-Japanese War.
